A founders journey
When I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, my world came to a standstill.
While recovering, I watched a documentary on fast fashion after I noticed a mountain of clothes in our family's wardrobe. When I asked why we hadn't donated them, my mum said they were too good to give away as she never had even worn them. This made me wonder: is there a female-focused marketplace for women to safely declutter their wardrobes?
This led to the creation of Second Fit. After numerous conversations with potential users, I designed Second Fit to be simple and user-friendly. It allows members to buy pre-loved items online, meet up for quick purchases, and ask fashion-related questions—all in one place.
Second Fit is still early in its journey, having just released our first version eariler this year. We are focused on building a strong community, listening to our members, and creating great partnerships with other amazing Australian brands.
