  • How do I take great photos that sell?
When creating a listing for your item on Second Fit, it's recommended to include a minimum of four images with different photos to showcase your item: The essential TIPS for creating a compelling listing with great photos: Lighting: Capture your product photos in well-lit conditions. Natural light from an open window is ideal, as it reduces excessive exposure and minimizes shadows cast by objectives or the product itself. Angles: Utilise all five image slots in your listing wisely. Include images from different angles, such as the front, and back, close-ups of labels or tags, any unique features and a fitting or in-use photo. You don't necessarily need a professional model; you can model the item yourself or ask a friend to assist. Background: Ensure that the background enhances the visibility of your item and is uncluttered. The goal is to make your product stand out to buyers. Consider using a background remover tool and placing the product on a backdrop with a complementary colour tone. Feature Image: The first image should provide a clear view of the entire product. This image is the main thumbnail that users will see when browsing listings. Fitting Shots: Include images of the product being worn by a person rather than a mannequin. This can help buyers visualise how the item looks when worn and provide a sense of its fit. Flat Lay Shots: buyers prefer flat lay images over hanger shots. Flat lay photos show the product laid out flat, which can give potential buyers a better sense of its design and details. By paying attention to these factors, you can create visually appealing listings that attract potential buyers to your items to grow your store.
